About the Illustrator Leng:

To the question how he became an illustrator, Leng Soo-Tsu said it was the result of finally realising that there was actually demand for his art. Leng studied graphic design at Carnegie Mellon University in the US and has worked in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. After 10 years working on several of the region's travel publications - Singapore Airlines' inflight magazine being the last, which he art-directed ? Leng made the switch to illustrating fulltime in 2004. His work has appeared in Herworld, Elle, Destinasian, and Changi (airport magazine). He has also illustrated two children's books. His cover illustration for Henri Fauconnier's Prix-Goncourt-winning French novel The Soul of Malaya (Malaisie) came out last year. He says this is his year of living dangerously as he is now self-employed and depends fully on his art to make a living. It is a trade-off with corporate life, but he says his is glad his abilities in art is getting the exposure they deserve. His goal? Why, do more illustrations!
